- I recently tried a few different online shops and wanted to share my experience. I think this is one of the few real advantages we have compared to shopping blindly. I also pay attention to return policy and customer service response time. Shipping speed is not everything, but extremely slow delivery is very annoying.

I try to balance my budget between basic everyday items and a few special pieces. When I test a new shop I usually start with one or two items instead of a huge order. Loose hinges make the glasses slide down the nose again and again. Some care only about style, others focus on comfort and durability. Sometimes a store looks great in ads but the real product is completely different. I like when a shop clearly shows PD, lens height and bridge width in millimeters. I enjoy reading threads where people honestly share what worked and what failed for them.
